In the event bad weather disrupts school bus traffic in the mornings, one of four messages will be released to the media listed below in time for broadcasts beginning at 6:00 AM. Additionally, the superintendent or school principal will make an automated telephone call.
1. School Closed.
2. One or two hour delay. All buses will run regular routes either one or two hours late. NO kindergarten.
3. Snow routes only - NO delay. Buses will run as close to the AM schedule as possible. Victor Point's buses will also remain on snow routes in the PM.
No sevice on the following roads: Carter, Jasper, Silver Falls past Drift Creek, and upper end of Waldo Hills and Edmunson.
The following buses will pick up and drop off at the stated times and places:
Route 14 AM 7:40 Drift Creek at Silver Falls
7:50 Drift Creek at Frazer
7:52 Drift Creek at Silver Ridge
8:00 Victor Point at Fox
Route 14 PM 3:10 Fox at Victor Point
3:15 Victor Point at Finlay
3:45 Drift Creek at Silver Falls
3:50 Drift Creek at Frazer
NO service on Fox and Frazer Roads
Route 15 PM 4:20 Robert Frost School
Route 27 Run as normal
4. One or two hour delay AND buses on snow routes. Buses will run one or two hours late on the snow routes listed above. NO kindergarten.
Bus routes and stops during poor road conditions ultimately will be determinded by the bus driver. In those cases where afternoon bus routes cannot be completed, children will be taken to the bus garage or their school and parents will be called. A driver may determine that a morning bus is unable to service some roads.
Please advise your children not to wait more than 20 minutes beyond the designated pick-up time for their bus - they should return to their homes.
Of the roads look bad or if there has been ice or snow, listen to the following radio or television stations for possible closure or delays:
